Samford steamrolls Concordia-Selma 55-0

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) — Michael Eubank completed 10 of 12 passes for 166 yards and touchdowns on Samford’s first two drives as the Bulldogs blanked Concordia-Selma 55-0 on Saturday.

Carson Barnett took over before halftime and also tossed a pair of touchdowns, finishing 9-for-13 for 105 yards.

Samford (5-3) rolled up 533 total yards to Concordia’s 114, and finished eight of 11 drives with points on the board. The Bulldogs also missed a field goal and lost a fumble with about a minute to play.

Eubank took just 1:26 on the first drive, covering 58 yards in four plays and finding Karel Hamilton from 24. The Bulldogs scored twice more after forcing Concordia punts, and led 21-0 before the Hornets notched a first down.

Concordia (1-8) marched 73 yards to open the second half and Matthew Rowser appeared headed for paydirt on a 20-yard run when he was hit and fumbled at the 2.
