National Anthem singer collapses at Xfinity Center

WASHINGTON — A man singing the National Anthem collapsed before a Maryland State High School Basketball Championship game at the University of Maryland’s Xfinity Center Saturday night. Prince George’s County Fire Department spokesperson Mark Brady says medics had to transport an adult male around 8:35 p.m. to a local hospital. According to the Associated Press, the singer has been identified as Peyton Easton. Fox 5 reporter Bob Barnard who was at the game of Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School vs. Meade High School says CPR was performed on the singer and he was moving his arms. He was wheeled away on stretcher to a standing ovation by the crowd, according to Barnard.
