Celtics finalize opening roster, waive 6 players

BOSTON (AP) — The Boston Celtics have waived six players to prepare for Wednesday’s opener.

The Celtics waived Will Bynum, Tim Frazier and Rodney McGruder on Monday. They also cut forwards Erik Murphy and Christian Watford and swingman Jarell Eddie.

Bynum was acquired in a trade from Detroit this month.

The Celtics’ roster now stands at 15. The opener is Wednesday night against the Brooklyn Nets.
