Ag firm expanding Carroll County operations

RICHMOND, Va. (AP) — Andrews Farming Inc. and sister company ANDCO Logistics Inc. are planning to expand their operations in Carroll County, creating 51 jobs.

Gov. Terry McAuliffe said Tuesday that the companies plan to invest more than $5.6 million to expand their agricultural production, warehousing and distribution operation.

Officials say Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project.

The Virginia Tobacco Indemnification and Community Revitalization Commission approved $225,000 in funding for the project.
