Police: Missing mom, 3-year-old daughter last seen in Falls Church area

WASHINGTON — A mother and her young daughter have been missing since Sunday night, and police say the mom may be in need of medical attention.

Gail Ferro, 27, and her 3-year-old daughter, Maya Ferro, were last seen around 6:30 p.m. Sunday at their home in the 2900 block of Strathmeade Street in the Falls Church area of Fairfax County, Virginia, police said.

They may have left in a blue 2012 Toyota Highlander with Virginia plates VJG-2156, according to Fairfax County police.

Gail Ferro has brown hair and blue eyes; her height is around 5 feet 4 inches and she weighs about 115 pounds. Maya Ferro is described as having blonde hair and blue eyes; she weighs around 30 to 40 pounds.

Call 911 if you have any information about their whereabouts or may have seen the described vehicle.

Super Pet Expo offers its first in-person event in Virginia since pandemic began

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
