Suspects toss bales of pot out window of speeding car

WASHINGTON — A few drug suspects in Arizona had a less-than-effective way of trying to beat the rap last week.

In a video released by the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, deputies tried to pull a vehicle over for a traffic violation when it instead sped off and, at more than 100 mph, the occupants, who evidently had never heard of dash cams, threw bricks of marijuana out of the vehicle and onto the highway.

They were eventually caught, but not before their front tires were shot out and the two occupants led the police on a foot chase. Police eventually seized 374 pounds of pot from a stash house.

As for the bricks of pot, the sheriffs say that four or five vehicles stopped, and their occupants grabbed them. The police couldn’t get them, or pull over those drivers, because of traffic conditions.
