New advances in the fight against leukemia

WASHINGTON — There is exciting news in the battle against advanced leukemia.

Out of 30 patients involved in a study using an experimental new treatment, 19 are in complete remission six months after treatment.

In an interview with Jim Davis, National Board Chair of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, he tells WTOP about the advances and what’s next for patients.
