WASHINGTON — The remains of a missing Gaithersburg man with dementia were discovered behind a Kentlands, Maryland-area doughnut shop early Wednesday morning.

Montgomery County police say that Harmohinder Bakshi, 67, was found about 4:30 a.m. behind a Dunkin’ Donuts on Darnestown Road near Quince Orchard High School.

He was lying on the ground along a privacy fence and was partially obscured by a snow bank, police say.

Police don’t believe any crime occurred but an autopsy is planned to determine the cause and manner of Bakshi’s death.

Bakshi was last seen Monday evening and reported missing by his family. Police had said that Bakshi was known to frequent businesses in the Kentlands area.
