Plane isolated at Madrid airport for Ebola check

MADRID (AP) — Authorities in Spain are dealing with a suspected Ebola case aboard an Air France plane that arrived today in Madrid after a flight from Paris.

Officials say a passenger was reported to have a fever and shivers. The passenger had traveled from Nigeria. That individual was taken by ambulance to a hospital in Madrid, but Air France says the rest of the passengers were allowed to leave the plane as normal.

The flight was carrying 163 people.

Earlier today, a Spanish Health Ministry official said the condition of a Spanish nursing assistant with Ebola appeared to be improving. But the official said a person who came into contact with the nursing assistant before she was hospitalized has a fever and will be hospitalized and tested for the virus.
