Officials to hold groundbreaking for Dover Bridge

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Maryland officials have scheduled a groundbreaking ceremony for the replacement of the Dover Bridge on the Eastern Shore.

Lt. Gov. Anthony Brown and Transportation Secretary James Smith will join local residents on Tuesday to break ground on the $64.5 million project.

The bridge carries Route 331 over the Choptank River. It connects Caroline and Talbot counties.

Many local officials from the two counties are scheduled to attend the groundbreaking ceremony.
