Police: Woman assaulted Sunday morning in Brightwood neighborhood

UPDATE 3:44 a.m. 10/16/2014: D.C. police say in a statement that upon further investigation, the woman was walking in the 900 block of Kennedy Street when she was assaulted. No D.C. cab was involved.

EARLIER: WASHINGTON — The D.C. police are looking for a cab driver they say sexually assaulted a passenger early Sunday morning.

Police say that a woman riding in a cab between the 600 and 700 blocks of Kennedy Street, in Northwest, between 2:30 and 3 a.m. Sunday when she was sexually assaulted by the driver. He is described as black; between 6 feet, 2 inches and 6 feet, four inches tall; with an American accent. He was driving a red, four-door D.C. cab with a gray stripe.
