Palmer gets start; all 3 Arizona QBs active

GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) — Carson Palmer was back at starting quarterback for the Arizona Cardinals in their game against the Washington Redskins on Sunday.

Palmer has not played since injuring a nerve in his throwing shoulder in the season opening win over San Diego. He flew to Denver for more treatment on Friday.

All three quarterbacks were active for Arizona. Drew Stanton, the starter in the previous three games, was listed as questionable after sustaining a concussion in last Sunday’s loss at Denver. Rookie Logan Thomas was the only healthy Cardinals quarterback in practice last week.

Starting linebacker Perry Riley Jr. was inactive for Washington. He had missed practice all of last week with a knee injury. Will Compton started in Riley’s place.

As expected, defensive end Calais Campbell (knee) was inactive for Arizona.
