VOORBURG, Netherlands (AP) — Police say a 15-year-old boy has been stabbed to death in a rare incident of deadly violence at a Dutch high school. A 16-year-old fellow student has been arrested.

The stabbing happened at the Corbulo school in Voorburg on the outskirts of The Hague around lunchtime Friday.

According to a police statement, medics rushed to the scene in ambulances and a helicopter but could not save the student.

The 16-year-old suspect was arrested a short time later.

The motive for the stabbing was not immediately known.
