White House fence jumper carrying Trump book, passport sentenced

WASHINGTON — The first person to jump the White House fence under President Donald Trump was sentenced Monday.

Jonathan Tran of California was given two years probation after Secret Service agents caught him near the east wall of the White House back on March 10.

He pleaded guilty to illegally entering the White House grounds back in July.

When arrested, prosecutors say Tran was carrying cans of mace, a passport, a book written by President Trump and a letter written to the president about “Russian hackers.”
