Lamar tops Abilene Christian 24-21

ABILENE, Texas (AP) — Caleb Berry passed for two touchdowns and Kade Harrington ran for another Saturday to lead Lamar to a 24-21 comeback win over Abilene Christian.

Trailing 21-18 in the fourth quarter, Berry hit Mark Roberts on a 14-yard pass for the go-ahead score. Berry was 23 of 46 for 316 yards, including a 12-yard fourth-quarter TD strike to Payden McVey.

Parker McKenzie threw for two TDs and wide receiver Cade Stone hit Monte Green-Avery with a 65-yard pass for another score for the Wildcats (3-3, 2-1 Southland). McKenzie was 20 of 35 for 182 yards, with TD passes of 38 yards to Cedric Gilbert and 10 yards to Noah Cheshier.

Kade Harrington scored on a 3-yard run for Lamar (4-2, 1-1), and Josh Davis added a 19-yard field goal for a 10-7 at halftime lead. Harrington had 143 yards on 20 carries.
