LEE HALL, Va. (AP) — Officials are investigating the death of a Hampton man who was struck by a CSX train in York County.

According to media reports, 28-year-old Jose A. Calderin Ayala left his truck after crashing into a ditch when he was struck by the train just before midnight Friday.

State police say two young children were in the vehicle at the time. They sustained injuries that are not considered life threatening.
