Towson U. student arrested after making threat

TOWSON, Md. (AP) — A Towson University student has been arrested after making a threat against the campus on social media.

Police say the student was arrested and released after posting bail. The threatening message was posted Wednesday on an app called Yik Yak.

Towson University officials say they collaborated with local, state and federal law enforcement authorities. The student was arrested within 24 hours. Officials say there is no longer a threat to the university community.

The university says an investigation is continuing.
