LAKESIDE, Va. (AP) — Authorities have captured a 4-foot-long (1.2-meter) lizard that was wandering around a Virginia neighborhood.

News outlets report an officer captured the monitor lizard Saturday in Lakeside.

Henrico Animal Protection Police Lt. Shawn Sears says the lizard was captured after authorities received a call. Authorities say the lizard is at a facility that can accommodate its unique needs.
