Fairfax Co. police seek ‘suspicious’ man who approached teen at school bus stop

WASHINGTON — Fairfax County police are on the lookout for man who they say approached a teenage girl at a school bus stop twice.

It happened at Hollinger Avenue at Koke Way in Fairfax, Virginia.

The first time the man, who police describe as white or Hispanic in his 20s, approached the 14-year old girl was on Aug. 28. The man approached her a second time on Sept. 1. Both times he offered the girl a ride, and when she declined, drove away in a white Jeep Cherokee, according to police.

Super Pet Expo offers its first in-person event in Virginia since pandemic began

A Virginia pet expo running through Sunday is hoping to help those who recently got new pets to find what they need. Eric Udler, producer of the Super Pet Expo at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, said that there has been a significant increase in pets being adopted with so many people working from home.
