Regional jail in Virginia to increase security

FRONT ROYAL, Va. (AP) — Steps are being taken to increase security at the Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail.

The Rappahannock-Shenandoah-Warren Regional Jail Authority plans to install surveillance cameras and intercom stations in areas of the jail that currently lack the equipment.

The Northern Virginia Daily (http://bit.ly/1rmarhb ) reports that the authority voted last week to buy 13 cameras and four intercom systems. The project will be funded with money from the authority’s contingency fund.
