ODU opens entrepreneurial center

NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — Old Dominion University has opened up an entrepreneurial center.

The university dedicated the Strom Entrepreneurial Center this week.

An $11-million gift from the Strome Family Foundation provided the support to create the center and its campus-wide curriculum.

Mark Strome says his vision for the center is to help fuel an economic engine for the Hampton Roads region.

The university says the center’s collaborative space will provide ideas to market support for student entrepreneurs and be the centerpiece for a campus-wide entrepreneurial curriculum, with courses offered in every ODU college.
