NFL hires Dawn Hudson as marketing director

NEW YORK (AP) — The NFL has hired former LPGA board member Dawn Hudson as its chief marketing officer.

Hudson replaces Mark Waller, who has moved back to his former job of overseeing the league’s international interests.

Commissioner Roger Goodell announced the appointment Monday. Hudson will handle the development, direction and implementation of all marketing activities for the NFL. She begins work in October.

Hudson said: “Sports have always played a big role in my life and in my career.”

Hudson was an LPGA board member from 2001-2010, the last two years as chair. Hudson is a former chair and board member of the Association of National Advertisers, as well. She is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
