Man arrested after tattoo artist recognizes ink

FREDERICK, Md. (AP) — Frederick Police say the owner of a tattoo parlor recognized a suspect caught on videotape by the tattoo on his forearm.

The shop owner had inked that tattoo on the suspect a month before, police say.

Investigators say Classic Electric Tattoo was broken into early on Sept. 4. Two guns and several cellphones and other electronics were stolen.

The News-Post of Frederick reports (http://bit.ly/1woIHHJ ) that the owner saw surveillance footage taken from a store next door and recognized his work on a suspect’s forearm. Investigators say he gave police the name of his former customer.

Twenty-year-old Max Goransson was arrested last week and charged with burglary and theft.
