Man charged after abuse of seven horses

WASHINGTON — A Montgomery County man has been charged with 17 counts of animal cruelty.

Robert Curry Sr. of Rockville, Maryland was charged for not providing water, shelter food or veterinary care for his seven horses.

Animal services originally responded to a report of animal cruelty on July 10. According to a release, they were starving, covered in sores and bites and didn’t have water.

One of the horses later died. The others were treated; one is in the process of adoption and the other four are at Paradise Stables in Mt. Airy.
