Buchanan couple killed in apparent murder-suicide

OAKWOOD, Va. (AP) — Buchanan County’s sheriff says the fatal shootings of an Oakwood couple are believed to be a murder-suicide.

The Bluefield Daily Telegraph reports (http://bit.ly/1DecMhX ) that deputies identified the victims as 56-year-old Katherine Diane Cline and her husband, 45-year-old Dallas Edward Cline.

Sheriff Ray Foster says deputies were dispatched after receiving a call about possible gunshots being fired Sunday night. Upon arrival, deputies found the bodies with gunshot wounds inside the home. A gun was recovered at the scene.

Foster says the bodies were transported to the state medical examiner’s office in Roanoke for an autopsy, and the investigation is continuing.
