5 car wrecks leave 4 dead in Harford County

BEL AIR, Md. (AP) — Four people have died this weekend in car crashes on roadways in Harford County.

The Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company says rescuers responded to a pedestrian struck by a vehicle Saturday evening in Edgewood. The man was taken to a hospital but later died.

Another collision Saturday night in Edgewood sent a child to the hospital.

Early Sunday morning, rescuers were called to a collision involving a motorcycle on Philadelphia Road. An adult male motorcyclist died at the scene.

Earlier on Friday evening, there were two other fatal collisions on Mountain Road less than a mile apart within the span of two hours. In one crash, a motorcyclist was severely injured and later died at a hospital. In another crash, one person was killed and two others were injured.
