GAITHERSBURG, Md. (AP) — A Maryland mother whose two children haven’t been seen since Sunday has been charged with misdemeanor child neglect.

Montgomery County police say they obtained a warrant charging 27-year-old Catherine Hoggle on Wednesday.

Police are searching for Hoggle and two of her children, 3-year-old Sarah Hoggle and 2-year-old Jacob Hoggle. Police say Catherine Hoggle slipped away from her common-law husband on Monday afternoon after she was not forthcoming about the children’s whereabouts.

Police say Hoggle was captured briefly on video in downtown Germantown early Tuesday morning, but there’s been no sign of the children since Sunday.

Police have said Hoggle is diagnosed as having paranoid schizophrenia.
