Correction: Annapolis One Mile story

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — In a story Sept. 9 about a one-mile race through Annapolis, The Associated Press reported erroneously that the race would occur Saturday. The correct date is Oct. 4.

Annapolis police raising money for Special Olympics Maryland

ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) — Police in Annapolis are raising money for Special Olympics Maryland with a one-mile race through the city.

Police say the fifth annual race will take place Oct. 4. Registration is $25 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under.

Police are encouraging racers to wear costumes, and there will be prizes given for the best individual and group costumes as well as the fastest times.
