OT Jonathan Martin will start in debut for 49ers

ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) — San Francisco’s Jonathan Martin will start at right tackle in his first game since the bullying scandal in Miami that interrupted his career.

Martin was set to replace Anthony Davis in Sunday’s opener at the Dallas Cowboys. Davis is out with a hamstring injury.

Martin didn’t play for the Dolphins again after accusing teammate Richie Incognito of bullying last season.

As expected, 49ers defensive tackle Ray McDonald is in the lineup a week after his arrest on felony domestic violence charges. The team is waiting for the legal process to unfold.

Dallas defensive tackle Henry Melton is active, but the free agent from Chicago won’t start in his debut for the Cowboys. Undrafted rookie Davon Coleman is starting in Melton’s place.
