Dump truck overturns on Inner Loop in Landover

WASHINGTON — A dump truck overturned on the Capital Beltway Wednesday afternoon, causing major traffic delays and spilling diesel fuel and debris across all lanes of the Inner Loop in Prince George’s County.

A dump truck with a full load overturned on the Inner Loop in the area of Arena Drive in Landover, Maryland. The crash blocked all lanes of the Inner Loop in the area for about an hour.

All lanes reopened around 2:30 p.m.

Diesel fuel from the truck’s fuel tanks and debris spilled onto the roadway, tweeted Prince George’s County Fire & EMS spokesman Mark Brady.

Emergency crews transported the driver of the truck to an area hospital, Brady tweeted.
