Dutch police: Suspected jihad recruiters arrested

THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — Dutch police say they have arrested two men suspected of recruiting people to fight in Syria and Iraq, the latest arrests in a long-running investigation into home-grown jihadis heading to the Middle East.

Police and prosecutors said one man was arrested Thursday in Germany and another a day earlier in The Hague. A woman from the Hague also was arrested Thursday in Germany on suspicion of incitement and spreading hate online aimed at provoking a terror act.

All three were in custody. Their names were not released.

There have been nine other arrests by the Dutch in their 16-month probe into people traveling to fight in conflicts in the Middle East. Five suspects remain in custody.
