Long-awaited baby giraffe gets name

WASHINGTON — The baby giraffe whose long-awaited livestreamed birth had millions of viewers glued to YouTube now has a name. Animal Adventure Park in upstate New York announced Monday the baby giraffe, who was born April 15, has been named “Tajiri,” which means hope in Swahili. The video feed became the second most live-viewed channel in YouTube history.
