Morning rush snarled by Inner Beltway truck crash

WASHINGTON — A crash involving a truck and other vehicles blocked the Inner Loop of the Beltway past Pennsylvania Avenue Thursday morning.

The truck overturned where the Inner Loop crosses over the Suitland parkway.

When first responders arrived at the scene, the truck was laying across the highway, blocking all lanes.

All lanes were reopened shortly before 9 a.m.

Two people have been taken to the hospital with non life-threatening injuries, according to a spokesperson for Prince George’s County Fire and EMS.
