DC police: Person of interest sought in ATM skimmer fraud

WASHINGTON — Police are asking the public to help identify a person of interest who attached a skimmer to an ATM on April 7 at a D.C. establishment in the 700 block of 12th Street Northwest.

An employee of the establishment discovered a foreign device attached to an ATM at 1:38 p.m. Metropolitan Police responded to the scene and recovered a suspected skimming device.

Police released video surveillance of the person of interest:

Police ask anyone with information about the case to call 1-202-727-9099.

A reward of up to $1,000 is offered to anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible for a crime committed in D.C.
