Grain higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) — Grain futures were higher Thursday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for Dec delivery was 4.25 cents higher at $5.5425 a bushel; Dec corn was 3.50 cents higher at $3.71 a bushel; Dec oats were unchanged at $3.3950 a bushel; while Nov soybeans gained 2 cents to $10.40 a bushel.

Oct live cattle was .60 cent lower at $1.4480 a pound; Oct feeder cattle was 1.87 cents lower at 2.0850 a pound; Oct lean hogs loss 1.55 cents to $.9095 a pound.
