Baby born on I-66

WASHINGTON — Someone just couldn’t wait.

A woman gave birth to a baby girl on Interstate 66 near Washington Boulevard in Arlington, Virginia around 4:30 a.m. Thursday.

The Arlington County Fire Department says that by the time its crew arrived, the baby had already been born.

The mom and baby were taken to the closest hospital, which happens to be Virginia Hospital Center. Both are in good health.
