Gravel caused problems for Beltway drivers

WASHINGTON — Gravel caused problems Wednesday morning for drivers on the Inner Loop of the Capital Beltway between U.S. 50 and Md. 202.

Callers to the WTOP Traffic Center said the gravel struck cars and cracked at least one windshield.

A Maryland State Highway crew drove across the stretch but no debris flew up.
