Burlington Coat Factory signs Falls Church lease

Seven Corners is about to boast more than great coats.

Discount clothing chain Burlington Coat Factory has signed a 47,000-square-foot lease at the Falls Church shopping center. The retailer took over a space where Syms (another discount retailer) used to be.

Andrew Segall of The Segall Group represented Burlington in the transaction. A September opening is planned.

Burlington is still on the hunt for other locations in the region, preferably 65,000 to 70,000 square feet in size.

Discount clothing stores have been an active business category to fill big-box vacancies left in the region by chains like Filene’s Basement.
