Giants recall 1B Duvall from Triple-A Fresno

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) — The San Francisco Giants have recalled first baseman Adam Duvall and put him in the starting lineup for their series finale at the Kansas City Royals.

Duvall was among the Pacific Coast League leaders with 26 homers, 84 RBIs and a .596 slugging percentage at the time of the promotion. He was batting .296 in 86 games.

In 12 games with the Giants earlier this season, Duvall hit .200 with two home runs and three RBIs, but struck out 13 times in 40 at-bats.

Also Sunday, San Francisco optioned outfielder Juan Perez to Fresno. Perez hit .175 in 45 games with the Giants.
