DEL MAR, Calif. (AP) — Master the Blues won the $96,560 Daisycutter Handicap by a neck at Del Mar on Friday.

Ridden by Kent Desormeaux, Master the Blues ran five furlongs on Polytrack in 57.10 seconds and paid $6.60, $3.60 and $2.40.

Kinz Funky Monkey returned $4 and $2.60, while Uzziel was another 1 1/2 lengths back in third and paid $2.80 to show.

The victory, worth $56,640, increased Master the Blues’ career earnings to $181,320, with seven wins in 19 starts.

Tribal Spy, the 17-10 favorite, finished fourth.
