Police officer indicted on perjury charge

ROCKVILLE, Md. (AP) — Montgomery County Police say an officer has been indicted on a perjury charge.

Police say Officer Colin O’Brien was indicted Thursday on the charge, a misdemeanor.

Authorities say O’Brien testified in drug paraphernalia trial in a county court in February. Police say there was a complaint concerning the accuracy of his testimony and detectives investigated.

Police say O’Brien has been suspended with pay since June.
