City to unveil mural at D.C. aquatic facility

WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia Mayor Vincent Gray will help unveil a new mural at a city aquatic facility near Eastern Market.

The mural at the entrance of the William H. Rumsey Aquatic Facility will be unveiled Thursday. The city says a trapeze school will perform, and there will also be face painting, animal balloons, cotton candy and music.

The new mural by artist Aniekan Udofia is part of the MuralsDC program through the Department of Public Works. The city says the program has so far produced nearly 50 murals around the city.
