Prince George’s Co. fire engine crash causes road closure

WASHINGTON — A Prince George’s County fire engine crashed into a pole Saturday morning, causing road closures on Route 450 west of Route 3. Officials said there were no other vehicles involved in the crash. It was a “minor entrapment” with “minor injuries,” they said. The vehicle that crashed was a Company 839 fire engine.

With the icy roads and weather conditions Saturday morning, officials recommend people to stay off the roads. If possible, delay travels until late Saturday or Sunday.
