WASHINGTON – Chances are you’re already posting pictures of your dog or cat to Facebook, but what if you want your pet to have his or her own social networking profile?

Facebook doesn’t allow fake profiles for pets, but that’s where the Facebook app Dogbook steps in.

It allows you to create a Facebook-like profile for your dog. For cat owners, there’s the nearly identical Catbook.

You can upload photos, add other pets as fiends, and even join groups — like a group of dogs who all like to swim or play Frisbee.

It’s also a good place to share stories, create play groups and ask for advice from fellow pet owners.
