Storms leave thousands without power

WASHINGTON — The storms that blew through the WTOP listening area Sunday night left thousands without power.

Potomac Edison is reporting more than 3,300 customers in Frederick County, Maryland, without electricity at 7:40 a.m., compared with more than 7,000 earlier Monday morning.

BGE is reporting 200 customers without power in Howard, Montgomery and Anne Arundel counties.

Other utility companies are reporting a handful of outages.
