Giants 1B Belt scratched with tight back

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Giants first baseman Brandon Belt was scratched from the starting lineup with back tightness just before San Francisco’s game with the Arizona Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Belt, who missed 50 games with a broken left thumb, was hitting .167 (5 for 30) since coming off the disabled list on July 5.

Ehire Adrianza was added to the Giants’ lineup and Joaquin Arias took over at first base.
