WASHINGTON — D.C. police detectives are looking for a suspect in connection with an assault and attempted sexual abuse in Northwest.

The incident occurred along the 900 block of M Street on July 12.

Around 3:30 a.m., a woman walked along the street when a man attempted to sexually assault her.

The man is described as black, 5’7″ with a slender build. He has a medium to dark complexion, a narrow face, and is about 24 years old.

He has shoulder length dreadlocks with a part in the middle, wore black pants, a red and black shirt, and black skater style shoes.

Those with information should call police at 202-727-9099 or text 50411. There’s a reward of up to $1,000 for anyone who provides information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible.
