Even with competitors Car2Go and Hertz’s On Demand recently coming to the area, Zipcar will raise its prices in D.C. starting this month, the Washington Examiner reported.

The car-sharing company raised its standard rates by 1.5 percent to 2.5 percent, depending on the car. Prices for individual accounts now range from $8 to $12 per hour on most cars.
