Prince George’s to conduct evacuation exercise

UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (AP) — The Prince George’s County Office of Emergency Management is conducting a mass care and evacuation exercise.

The county is holding the exercise on Friday. It’s a collaborative effort among several agencies.

The exercise is designed to test the county’s ability to evacuate neighborhoods and shelter affected populations within the county.

The county is testing two plans, one to provide shelter and another to evacuate residents.
