Two months after he suddenly closed the Capital City Diner, owner Matt Ashburn says he is close to finalizing a deal to sell the diner to a group that would keep it in the District, The Washington Post reported.

Ashburn put the 1940s-era diner up for sale on eBay, netting several offers, including one to move it down South for a large sum of money.
